We are committed to creating a group which is reflective of our local communities. We particularly welcome applications from Black and minority ethnic individuals and those from other under-represented backgrounds.

Role Description

You will work with us to ensure that the views of patients, carers and families are taken into consideration when health services are being planned or developed across South East London.  You will help facilitate the 'patient voice' being heard within the South East London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the Integrated Care System, and health and care services in Southwark and throughout South East London. You will work alongside patient group members from Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, and Lewisham.  The group is chaired by the Director, South East London Healthwatch.  Please see the Role Description (below) for more information.

Remuneration

The role is not paid, but out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed on production of receipts for travel, and refreshments if volunteering for more than four hours in one day - both up to a limit of £5 per day.

Location

Most meetings will be held on digital platforms for the foreseeable future. In the future, depending on social distancing requirements, occasional meetings in South East London locations may be required.

Time commitment

Up to six 1.5 hour group meetings per year, plus occasional strategic meetings as required. Each session will require reading/review of related papers. There may be opportunities to join sub-committees and/or advisory groups, depending on areas of expertise.
