About this event

Join PCREF to find out more about the work South London & Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Foundation Trust have done this year to improve mental health services in Southwark for the Black community!

The Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) is a new way of working which brings together Black communities, Black service users and their carers with South London and Maudsley staff to reimagine mental health services to achieve anti-racism and equity for Black citizens. South London & Maudsley (SLaM) are a pilot site for the national programme, and shortly all Mental Health Trusts will be required to implement PCREF.

The first public events took place online in January 2021, where service users and carers, staff, community members and local organisations gathered to begin this vital work. Over the last year, staff, service users, carers and local community members have taken your feedback and the competencies given to us by NHS England and worked together to develop change ideas for how we can move to equity.

SLaM have organised an in person community event to present findings and the proposed ideas for change, and we want to hear your feedback!

This engagement event will take place online on 13th January, 6-8pm .
