Vaccination for monkeypox

The NHS is offering the smallpox vaccination to people who are most likely to be exposed to monkeypox.

These include:

  • healthcare workers caring for patients with confirmed or suspected monkeypox
  • men who have sex with other men, and who have multiple partners
  • people who have been in close contact with someone who has monkeypox

Those at most risk of contracting monkeypox are being contacted directly to arrange an appointment.

If you already have an appointment booked, please attend as planned, otherwise please wait to be contacted directly.

Walk in clinics are currently not available.
