The project aims to improve support parents who:

  • Experience significant emotional and relationship difficulties
  • Have a child aged 2-11 years who's behavior they are worried about
  • Live in Southwark, Lambeth, Croydon or Lewisham

Parents who join the study will be offered either the well-established Being a Parent group or our new Being a Parent-Enjoying Family Life group. Both groups offer skills and strategies to help with challenging child behavior, with the Enjoying Family Life group offering additional skills to support parent's & caregivers with their own emotional wellbeing.

The groups are peer-led by trained Parent Group Leaders. They run for 9-10 weeks in person and online and a creche is provided if required. Parents can continue to receive support from other services whilst in the study.

The next round of group begins w/c 25th April.
